Very delicious. Because the endives are stewed without sugar I was afraid they would turn out to be bitter, but that didn't happen - I guess stewing them in butter made the sugars in the endive caramelise. I forgot to add the cream, but it was delicious without, and probably would have been just as delicious with cream, too.
