This pie always sounds so mouth-watering. I have made it in the past, but did not remember how we liked it probably because it is not memorable. If you love pecan pie, don’t bother with this recipe. It is not as sweet and the nuts not as crunchy. The slight bitterness of the walnuts is accentuated. The maple flavor is there, but not prominent.
