Tasty! The recipe claims to make 1quart/liter. I must have 2 liters. I'd intended to make a half recipe, but had a senior moment with 2#/1kg and pitted a whole kilo of cherries. (That's a lot of pitting to do!) But, I used a short half of the sugar, since I used raw cane sugar that had rather large grains. Used 1tsp kirsch; a dab more wouldn't hurt. The result is very nice, creamy and fruity.
