I used this recipe as filling for both the Danish and the Fruit-Filled Thumbprint rolls. It was super easy to make and a delicious filling. I made both strawberry and blueberry with frozen fruit and can’t wait to try with fresh in-season fruit next time.
My only complaint is that I made 1/4 the recipe, since I was going to use this filling for ¼ of the recipe, and there were still tons left over. It would be nice if the recipe stated about how much filling was used for each Danish, so I could...

This is an excellent fruit filling for the Thumbprint rolls. We made strawberry and apple. Both were delicious. When I make these again I think I'll try some peach and blueberry. This list of fruits you could use could be quiet long. I This filling would be good for other sweet breads as well.
