This dish (and the previous review) was so intriguing I just had to try it! And it's really quick and delicious! Think of a warm raspberry fool, unfortunately without the crème brûlée crust I had hoped for.
We used crème fraîche and half the amount of sugar mentioned, which was a good balance for us (though I thought it was a pity that it turned so runny, but I guess there's nothing to be done about that).

Three simple ingredients - 3 minutes - and it will knock your socks off!

Here you layer sour cream (I used non-fat yogurt), fresh raspberries, a bit more yogurt/s. cream, and then a generous layer of brown sugar. About 2 1/2 minutes under the broiler - so it starts to melt - grab your spoon and go.

The only caution is don't let it broil too long. Its easy to burn the brown sugar. A great simple low-fat dessert.

And the best thing? A second helping only takes another 3 minutes!

Love that photo! How did you take it?

Hi Friederike! I use a digital SLR, I use the program settings - no flash - and adjusted so that there is a very shallow depth of field. I also recently bought a glass kitchen table. I think that is what gives it a floating quality. I really enjoy photography, and some of my pictures look gorgeous after upload, but some look awful - I don't know but I suspect something occasionally happens during upload. The final thing - I always crop it square -- this site will do a crop in some random fashion - I like having the control over where the square crop is made.
