This was a new way to remove excess water with paper towels. I was using Bounty and so expected to end up with dried cucumber, but shouldn’t have been so worried. I should have used the lesser amount of Orange Flower water as I am still not used to this flavor, but I liked the sugar to lemon juice ratio.

This was a simple recipe to prepare. The cucumber is grated (we used an english cucumber), the excess water is squeezed out (lots of paper towels), and then the cucumber is dressed with various things, including orange flower water.

I used the specified amount of orange flower water, and it felt as if I was eating perfume. These waters (orange flower and rose) are powerful. I've discovered that its important to use much less than called for in these recipes.
