These beans came as a refreshing change to my usual bean side dish -- which incorporates Italian accents -- anchovies and tomatoes and basil and garlic. The flavors are more subtle here (celery, bay leaves, thyme, rosemary and garlic). Warmed and served over toast with maybe some chopped fresh tomato and fresh parley or basil, it makes a really nice high protein lunch.
