I really wanted to like these. I followed the recipe as written other than using white whole wheat flour in place of all-purpose and subbing applesauce for the oil. I've made these same substitutions in numerous recipes with great results. These bars came out sort of rubbery even though I was careful not to overmix the batter. The flavor was okay, but I think saved by the chocolate chips... otherwise I think it would be super bland. I won't be making these again, but if I did, I would use a smal... Read more
