Garlic Dill Pickles

Crunchy pickles with just the right seasonings! These pickles include dill seed, garlic, hot pepper flakes, and black peppercorns. They are distinctive in that half the vinegar is cider vinegar - which gives the final product just a tiny hint of sweetness. The pickles are processed in a hot water bath - which I thought might make them soft - but they came out perfectly!

14-Daughter and I prepared these last September and they have been sitting in our canning cupboard awaiting the store-bought pickles being finished. We only prepared two jars, and one jar disappeared the day it was open. We are thinking that these are good enough to prepare to give to neighbors next year for Christmas.
