This is an odd dish - not as good as coconut rice pudding I've had at thai restaurants. I soaked my rice overnight, and found the timing for cooking to be perfect. The 1/2 tsp salt was a little too much for our taste, and the sugar (4T) very skimpy. Nevertheless, a scoop of vanilla ice cream was perfect on it - diluting the salt and adding the needed sweetness.
Probably won't bother buying this type of rice again.
