This chutney has an amazing flavor, excellent texture, and it used up a pile of my green tomatoes. I was nervous about the star anise, but it didn't overpower the flavor. My very skeptical husband even gave it two thumbs up! We served this with a roasted pork shoulder, and they complemented each other perfectly.
This turned out so well, its probably gift worthy, though the funny green color isn't so great.
