I made this to go along with the Panna Cotta (p 301) recipe. It was super simple to put together with some frozen strawberries that I saved from the May-June strawberry season. Took less than 15 minutes and added some nice flavor to the dish. I used leftovers as a thinner type of spread on Buttermilk Biscuits (p 276).

This was a very simple recipe and a snap to make. I substituted raspberries for strawberries and it worked fine. I used this to swirl into oatmeal and plain yogurt. This is a good way to use up an excess of berries, if you get some on sale.
