One of the best things about looking through an older cookbook is re-discovering a wonderful recipe which had been totally forgotten. Such is Aglione. This herb mixture is so good that when I first tried it, I was using it on everything. What it does to roasted potatoes is magical. And that's just the start. I'm so happy to have recovered this.

I'm so glad you posted this review.Years ago I used to watch Biba's show, and loved her. Your review reminded me that it has been too long since I have cooked one of her recipes.

Same here--I loved her show and have most all of her books. I've pulled the other books out and am looking forward to poking through those as well -- I do remember that the best gnocchi I ever made was from one of her recipes.
