This makes a great desk side lunch, as well as holding it's own on elegant supper menu. I did add sliced garlic - otherwise stuck to the recipe using thyme, red onion and ricotta. Perfect with crusty bread or a slice of focaccia. There is plenty of oil in the pan after the braise, so I sometimes spoon out a bit of the oil, throw it in a frying pan and fry up an egg for topping - so delicious.
