Waaay to much brown sugar. I'll try 1/4 cup next time instead of the 1/2 cup in this recipe. I will also allow it to cook for perhaps another 10-15 minutes to get that melting...
Sparrows on sticks? Please. The little mice with wings are nesting in my gutters but I'm still not going to a) catch them, b) pluck them, c) clean them, and then d) cook them on...
A good, basic Mulligatawny. Cook as directed or make changes as the pantry requires.
Much better than the usual mango chutney (and I love mangoes). You could cut down on the garlic if you wished and substitute semi-dried figs for the raisins.
Fair dinkum the BEST barbecue desert, ever. Serve with the books suggestions or the richest chocolate ice cream you can find. Orange and chocolate are friends!
Check back soon, I've been meaning to try this one for ages.
I use 200g plain flour and 50g self raising flour and substitute chopped dates for the raisins. I also add 2 Tbsp sour cream at step 4.
Substitute honey for the treacle for a different taste. Don't turn the oven on to pre-heat until step three where you chill the dough for 30 minutes!
As described - tart. Mouth puckeringly tart but set off by the sweetness of the base they are very delish!
