The first store in New Zealand to specialise only in cookery books - Cook the Books is a cook's haven! The store for all cooks, chefs and food lovers.

Cook the Books has an impressive range of books on food, wine and the culinary arts. On the shelves you will find more than just simple recipe books, there are numerous food related topics and categories. We source books locally and from overseas and will have titles not readily available elsewhere. We also stock food magazines and greeting cards and stationery featuring food images.

We often hold book launches and special events at the store with local and international food writers and chefs. We are thrilled to have welcomed Rick Stein, Peter Gordon, Anthony Bourdain, Bill Granger and Donna Hay from overseas and local authors Peta Mathias, Julie Le Clerc, Ruth Pretty, Peter Chaplin, Richard Till and many more.
