Queezle Sister
This picture shows Queezle, a quail who lived with us for a year. She because our friend (not dinner), but eventually a wild male courted her through the window, and so she returned to the wild.

The New Future of Cookbooker
Thanks friederike. My mother will visit in June (for a high school graduation), and that is our target. Should be possible.

Great idea, SLTE, go for it. And welcome to cookbooker. This is my favorite community on the internet.

Ah yes, thanks. I was being dense! I cannot tell you how happy I am that our cookbooker family gets to remain intact. Now if my new kitchen could just be finished... our (old) oven keeps being removed and then hooked back up, as we struggle wit…

Thanks, Andrew. I'm not totally clear on how to do this (dashboard tab?), so you could send me an email. Sorry if I am being dense.

Cook's Illustrated does Ottolenghi's roasted butternut squash
I couldn't access the entire article, either, but was able to get to the recipes. I think there is a total of four, and my family thought that this one was the best squash they have ever had.

Probably some general guidelines would be useful, as I bet this issue is not specific for this set of books. Maybe the earlier publication date should take precedence? Or have both cookbooks listed, and I think you can link the reviews?

I like the idea of cooking goals. My major goal is to finally get my remodel done! I will have a fair bit of down time while my kitchen is disassembled. But once that is done.... My goal is to use five of my unused cookbooks - each one making at…

What cookbooks did you find under the tree?
Amazon has not yet delivered "Ottolenghi", and I think that is all I will receive. However -- my birthday is in 2 1/2 weeks, so we can always hope... Which Relish did you receive? I read that graphic novel (with recipes) - and found it …

Kateq -- I didn't read this link previously, but as I sit in Heathrow airport, awaiting our flight home, I think my experience at NOPI was a high point. We (2 of us) were nearly out of cash, and so only ordered two dishes to share plus one des…

Brown, sheesh! We are about to replace a white ceramic sink. Sounds OK, but its so beat up that everything stains it. We will replace with a large stainless undermount.

Yea, I'm sure I would use two ovens. But it gives me pause when considering that a second oven means less storage space. Your kitchen, friederike, sounds amazing!

I'll have to take a look at your kitchen stuff! I am just starting on my remodel, first thing to go is a load-bearing wall. Will probably go with a quartzite countertop, walnut cabinet doors, and essentially no upper cabinets. Right now grap…

I would much rather have him realize that before hand, than have it crash and burn. Maybe going with EYB would be for the best.
