It wasn't really as interesting as I had hoped. The egg, and possibly the whole egg-cream-mixture didn't go with the rest of the ingredients.
I liked the idea of the sherry-soaked raisins, crunchy roasted cashew nuts and the curry, but I would have preferred at least half-crunchy leeks to go with it - no egg-cream and less butter seems to be the way to go.
DB somehow was the opposite, he didn't like the nuts and the raisins, but he also admitted that that might have been because he felt that the dish didn't go well with our main dish, Slow-roasted Loin of Pork with Quinces and Marsala.
