With this recipe you get a whole meal in a pot -- potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans, onion, roast beef and gravy. It's very good but hubby thought corn would be better cooked alone. The ranch dressing mix you rub on the meat gives it a great flavor and the bacon crumbles are a nice idea and may have loaned some flavor, but I couldn't really tell they were there in the finished product.
The recipe calls for baby yukon gold potatoes but new baby reds were on sale, so I used those. Also it calls for 2 tablespoons ranch dressing mix and the whole packet was only 2 1/2 tablespoons so I went ahead and used the whole packet. I used a boneless sirloin roast instead of chuck since it was on sale.
To save dirtying up a bowl I just poured the Worcestershire sauce into the jar with the gravy and stirred in there before pouring it over the roast.
