Crunchy, and I like the flavor that comes with the addition of smoked paprika. It was also amazing to see the leaves shrivel and get truly crunchy. This is something I want to like.
If you love kale, then you'd really enjoy these. I like cooked kale, but these chips taste like kale smells, only with a smoky flavor.
I have a weekly meeting where one person brings food (journal club). This will be one of the items I bring - the others are very junk-food oriented, and I look forward to the amused horror that will show on their faces.
Maybe mid-summer kale is stronger, and I should try preparing these using kale grown in cook temperatures?

Interesting, I've never tried them with smoked paprika!
I usually do them two ways but there are many more. I like them tossed in a bit of oil, sesame seeds and a tiny bit of salt, then baked. I've also had them with nutritional yeast. Both ways are good.
I wonder how your club members will like them.

It actually was eaten! I don't care for the smell of them, but will try one more time. Thanks.

That's great! Was it the smell of the smoked paprika? It's pretty strong stuff.

Kale is stronger than smoked paprika! I picked this recipe hoping for the smoked paprika to swamp out the kale, but, oh well.
I certainly won't give up on Kale, though. I have a hunch that come November, even this will be tasting much better.

That's interesting. The kale I buy has barely smell at all. It's very mild smelling. Huh. I wonder why yours is so stinky?
