Vegetarian corn chowder with a bright corn flavor. My DH votes this a 5, but I hold out hope to find a recipe that is even better. Cobs were cooked in the milk for 30 minutes, giving the milk an amazing flavor (taste the milk after cooking with the cobs if you try this - its really good). We were able to make this entirely local - including the thyme flavoring, the onion, bell pepper, milk, corn and carrots.

Note that I selected this recipe instead of the Ina Garten challenge recipe because I wanted to avoid the fat. This soup was prepared with skim milk, and it added potatoes to thicken.
