friederike from Berlin,

Too sour and too salty. Admittedly, we are at least half culpable as we used half of the amount of beans and the full amount of anchovies before we realised (though we did only use half of the amount of lemon juice), but yet I can't imagine that getting the proportions right would have made that much of a difference (of course in the end we ate only half of the anchovies, if not less). Also, with any dish called 'ingredient with lemon', I would expect some use of lemon zest as lemon juice just tastes mainly sour and very little lemony.

Served with Dover Sole with Marsala and Spaghetti Aglio e Olio - the Dover Sole was great!

Edited the next day to add:
Today it tasted a lot better. DB confessed he had actually used the whole tin of anchovies yesterday, while today he had only used four filets (for half a recipe). Furthermore, today he used the zest of one lemon, and only added a tiny squeeze of lemon juice right at the end - much better! However, I must admit I prefer the beans the French way with tiny cubes of bacon.
