Might be my favorite... these cookies had a good vanilla/caramel flavor, lots and lots of chocolate chips, and the smoked salt was subtle but added the perfect finishing touch
My son and I prepared a batch of these just before leaving on a trip. No pistachios, so substituted walnuts, which I chopped up finely.
There are 1.5C of chocolate chips - so none of the individual cookies were a disappointment.
We used hickory smoked salt. Baked as ~ 1 T drops (1/2 the size suggested) and baked them at the recommended 300˚F oven. Mine required about 16 minutes to bake.
I will certainly try making these again!
