This was very good but the rice and carrots were cooked a little too much at 8 hours. The recipe stated 6 to 8 hours. Next time I'll only let it cook for 6. The beef was very tender and I loved that it had a whole pound of mushrooms. Since the author didn't state a mushroom type I used half button and half Baby Bella.
