Recipe Review

26th December 2012

southerncooker from Boomer, NC

This is one of the few recipes my whole family agreed that they loved, which is a rare occasion. Son was flipping through this book when I had it at my Mom and Dad's during Thanksgiving making the Rosemary Rolls from it. He came upon this recipe and requested I make it sometime as he loved cherry limeade. I decided to make it for our Christmas Eve appetizer night. Daughter didn't think she'd like it since she hates maraschino cherries or any other cherry for that matter except for the yellow ones. She was willing to try though and was pleasantly surprised that she liked it. It was unanimous that we should make this one again. I used sprite as my lemon lime soda. At first I thought I'd just make a half recipe but I'm happy I made the whole recipe since the five of us drank the whole gallon. It took six limes to get the cup of lime juice needed for the recipe.
