Recipe Review

1st December 2013

southerncooker from Boomer, NC

I bought a huge turkey this year so I'd have lots of leftovers. I used some of the leftover white meat in this recipe. Hubby, daughter and I enjoyed this one. Daughter said she hopes I'll make it again and add peas and mushrooms and hubby said ditto but also some potatoes and a bottom crust. He loves bread. I used a leftover pie crust from Thanksgiving instead of the crust in the book. Ree said that was a good idea as well. The juice was a little runny when I took the pie from the oven but it thickens up nicely as it cools a bit. A great use of leftover turkey but I'm sure it would be good with chicken as well. This recipe is also on PW's website at the following link:
