Not quit as rich and gooey as other blondie recipes and they were a bit thinner than the CI recipe or Homesick Texan. These were made to go into a batch of Cinnamon and Vanilla bean ice cream which came out great. When I make these again (not for ice cream) I may use a smaller pan for a thicker, fudge-y blondie.
I love this book because, as the title states, these are great desserts in small batches - perfect for my family of 2.
Made these again 6/2/19 - they were much better - rich and not at all cakey. I did double the recipe (1/2 with chocolate chips and half with butterscotch, with walnuts throughout). Pressed it all into my 8x5 loaf pan and cooked 22 minutes. They were very gooey while warm, so some practiced patience is necessary.
