Very refreshing drink with the rum and ginger beer. I did like some of the lime juice squeezed in mine. Perfect drink when you want a little something special.

Ginger beer is delicious but for some reason hard to find around here. I really wanted to try this one when we were testing and had to go to so many stores and done some calling as well until I found some. I have that problem often when testing recipes. Items that can be found most places our stores don't carry unless I have time to make a trip into the big city, the nearest about an hour away.

My son asks for ginger beer whenever I ask him what to tell his aunts and uncles what he wants for Christmas, birthdays, etc. I have to explain that would not be very easy to do. He never really asks for much, and since he doesn't read this website I can tell you I finally ordered him a case (24 bottles) of the ginger assortment from beveragedirect.com for his upcoming birthday. It includes gingerales, but I suppose if I ever do this again I could ask for more ginger beers. It was pretty pricey, but when we make our pilgrimages to Whole Foods, he will try to load up the cart with Ginger Beer which I don't think is any cheaper there. You can also buy a case of a single type from them.

I love a good dark and stormy, but have a lot of trouble finding good ginger beer. In my opinion, black strap rum is the perfect alcohol for this drink.
