Recipe Review

19th August 2012

redjanet from London,

This is a very nice low fat dessert which is good for dinner parties. It was easy to prepare a few hours in advance and let it chill in the fridge until ready to serve. My only misgiving is that the completely fat free Greek yoghurt left a slight aftertaste, but that was easily remedied by a coffee soon afterwards.

This sure does look simple, but I have a question - what is meant by "soft cheese"? Cream cheese? I think this would be awesome with gingersnaps and peaches! Also some non-fat greek yogurts have less of that sour flavor. Thanks for reviewing this.

Yes, soft cheese is cream cheese. I used Philadelphia Extra Light. I did also use ginger snaps as I couldn't find any reduced fat ginger biscuits. It really is a simple and nice dessert after a big meal.

Great! Kids are always clamoring for dessert, and this looks like one that I'd eat, too!
