This is a quick, simple sauce you can throw together for rice, dumplings or vegetables. I often use it as a starting off point for something a little more complex, usually including garlic, ginger, sesame seeds and sometimes miso, but the original will add flavor to whatever needs to be dipped. You can also reduce it over low heat to make a thicker sauce.
