I've never been disappointed by anything I've made in this cookbook. It may seem a little less adventuresome in the ingredient listings - how many people in the US were eating arugula in 1999? But it's delicious, clean food. Who needs bacon when you can saute chicken legs w/ shallots in balsamic? The tomato soup is also excellent.
