On a whim, and with the urging from my 14 yr old daughter, I purchased a bottle of avocado oil. I used some last night to sear ahi, and true to its label, at a high temperature setting it was very stable, and made short work of the searing process. But I also read that its flavor is great -- and I'm looking for a way for us really taste it without being disgusting (sipping oil is not a good image for me). Any suggestion? Kids are thinking bread dipped into the oil, good idea?
