Xmas cookbooks?
I'm trying to keep my cookbooks in a certain set of shelves. But if I had to put the books scattered through the house into the shelves, it wouldn't be possible. Too many of them are old friends. Even if I never cook from some of them agai…

Xmas cookbooks?
My top two are Ruhlman's From Scratch and Wells' My Master Recipes. But both were published this year and are pricey. Probably wait another year for those. Jaffrey's Vegetarian Indian (or the UK version, Curry Easy Vegetarian) might b…

!!! Can you see how many people are active? I have the feeling they're not as many of us now. Certainly not as much chat as there used to be.

Andrew here: ending/transferring Cookbooker
Andrew, at Patreon it shows you've got one $1 contributor and four $2 contributors. That makes $9 monthly, but on the left it shows only $8 of $10 have been pledged. What's up?

Any spiralizer fans out there?
Gimmicky was my thought too. And still is after one outing. Will try a few more recipes before it goes to a charity shop. The shelf space can be used better, I expect. And it wastes an enormous amount of veg, which can generally go into the next sto…

Question about Posting New Reviews or Additions to Bookshelf
I don't see my reviews under "Recent Activity" that I remember. That (I think) is reviews from my CB friends and from my cookbooks. I see my reviews sometimes under "Recently Reviewed" on the left. But it's weird, beca…

I've happy to chip in for maintaining the site if I'm not the only one. Don't especially want to be the official owner and am not set up for hosting, software, etc.

Is anybody getting Notifications from Cookbooker?
Ah, got the notification of your comment here. But nothing on cookbooks and recipes. :-( In fact, I think it's been over a year, since I had one of those, unless they come with a different email address.

Your Santa list
Reading Diane Henry's A Bird in the Hand. Very impressed so far. One of those books, I could save stickies by tagging recipes I *don't* want to try. Almost every recipe is appealing. Think this will be my April cookbook-of-the-month.

I don't see any way to add a public note on a book. Maybe it would be an idea to put this link into a review of the book???

Twenty: He gives good descriptions of twenty basic technicques, how-to and why, and then gives a group of recipes using that technique. So far we've been happy with everything I've made and have lots of tags still to try.

Cookbooks on Kindle?
Print from Kindle or from iPad? I did a brief search for a print-from-kindle how-to, but didn't turn up anything. Maybe I need to buy myself a Kindle Fire next time they go on a good sale. Or better, I could reinstate the Kindle-for-computers a…

Oh too bad about Malakeh. No chance she mentions in the intro or notes somewhere how big the glasses are?

I'm still scratching my head. Your Malakeh sounds really interesting, Friederike, but I haven't found it in English (or French or Dutch); I haven't cooked in German (yet), but am tempted because it seems like the Insp. Bruno Cookbook …

Interesting. Haven't seen these before. Don't recognize any of the author names, but that's not saying too much. Do the little books have ISBNs?

Indian Food
Interesting article, thanks! Indian food has been my fave since I discovered it in the late 70s/early 80s.

Oh dear. Hot Bread on the Santa list too. Chabon's review was LOL. So, the two finalists are on my wishlist. A surprising pair, I think.

I have my eye on that one too! A Santa gift perhaps. It's not like I need another Indian cookbook.
