These were more like cake-y cookies with oatmeal in them than chewy oatmeal cookies. They were very sweet and had a mildly spicy cinnamon flavour but were lacking a buttery flavour.
The dough had a fairly low ratio of butter to dry ingredients but had quite a bit of milk added to it which seemed unusual to me. As a result, the cookies didn’t spread at all.
The 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips I added to the dough made them palatable but overall, these were quite disappointing.
