Recipe Review

This too is part of the Dead of Winter from the Supermarket menu which also included Hearts of Romaine with Parm and Lemon Dressing, Panfried Steak with Steak Sauce, and Broiled Pineapple with Rum.
This was our absolute favorite of the entire dinner. Very simple with cream, butter, salt and pepper but so good. Not something I'd serve often but great for a special occasion. I choose to make ours in individual red heart ramikins since it was for Valentine's Day. I also decided to use the suggestion of making it ahead and reheating in a moderate oven. Since I had to work today I made it last night and reheated it while I prepared our steaks.

I am currently a little obsessed with this cookbook -- text, pictures, and recipes! Have you seen the deconstructed turkey recipe? I think that's my Thanksgiving this year :-)
I love that you made one of his whole menus ... I haven't tried that yet but I plan too.
