My daughter and I really enjoyed these. I used a green tomato from the supermarket but I know they would be even better with green ones from the garden in the summer. I didn't use basil mayonnaise since I didn't have any fresh basil on hand. I can't wait to try these again in the summer with garden green tomatoes and basil mayo.

I didn't have green tomatoes, so I did this with an under-ripe tomato and some homemade basil mayonnaise. Very good, but it doesn't compare to a pure BLT at the height of tomato season.
