It tasted fresh, weird and a little bitter. My son, who does not eat asparagus, squeezed half a Meyer lemon and the rest of the dressing components on individual plates of the salad and then licked his plate clean after finishing it! I love shaved carrots in salads and I think this would be spectacular with half carrot and a then a little Dijon mustard in the dressing.

I quite liked this, but I thought the asparagus flavor wasn't that distinctive. Maybe I put too much lemon in?
It didn't look as lovely as on the website either, it was quite flat. I also found it difficult to keep on slicing once the asparagus had become quite thin.
I did like the flavor combination with almonds, but I don't think this one will make me stop cooking my asparagus.

This is beautiful - long snakes of think asparagus. It is similar to Deb's asparagus pizza, only here the asparagus is not cooked. I think we didn't get the spicing or lemon on it right - it was a crazy night with too many things to do. I think this recipe cannot really go wrong - but it might take some adjusting to have it match your tastes.
The toasted almonds were a real bonus.
