This was a lovely and different salad. It looked like a lot but we finished it easily. Half a lemon was plenty.

I've never seen sumac in my stores. I do have some wild sumac growing out back - but I don't think I have the guts to try cooking with it!

Yes, I'm lucky to have lots of stores selling spices nearby.
You could try getting spices online, for instance at the spice house http://www.thespicehouse.com (for the USA) or seasoned pioneers http://www.seasonedpioneers.co.uk (for the UK and the rest of Europe). Both have sumac.
Spices are quite light, so the shipping tends to be relatively affordable.
