I decided to make this with some of my left over cracklins' I'd gotten for another recipe recently. Hubby said he loved cracklin' cornbread growing up. He said the cracklin's in this weren't as crispy as his Grands. I agreed they needed to be crispier. Maybe if I'd heated them up since they were in the fridge before adding to the batter. I didn't think this bread had that much flavor myself. It was just OK.
