Recipe Review

11th July 2012

southerncooker from Boomer, NC

I had just enough strawberries that needed using up to make a half batch of this easy recipe. It made a half pint. Hubby, son and I about devoured it on our homemade sausage (page 158) biscuit (Mama Dip's Family Cookbook page 79). With only 4 ingredients - strawberries, sugar, lemon rind and zest (I didn't have a lemon so used a lime) this is an easy recipe to make and takes less than a half hour from start to finish. It was delicious warm and great cold too. I plan on making more of this.
