Very tasty, we thought.

I made a half recipe, which was a good three servings.

The steaming time for the eggplant slices seems a bit long. My slices were a bit soggy after 20 minutes.

Next time, I think I might cut the eggplant slices into "fingers" and steam them a much shorter time, checking after 7 minutes or so to see how they were doing.

Also, I think I might skip the salting step, since I'm not sure that really does anything with "modern" eggplants beyond adding salt.

Definitely worth repeating.
