I wasn’t expecting much from this recipe but I needed something quick, family requested pasta, and I had all of the ingredients on hand. I was pleasantly surprised…. the addition of a few anchovies made a big contribution to the flavour and no one was able to identify the source. (I told them once everything had been eaten!).
The only change I would make next time is to cook the broccoli less – it retained its colour but was softer than I prefer - possibly skipping the pre-cook stage and putting it straight into the sauté pan with the garlic and anchovies. My timing was slightly off so I was waiting on the pasta to cook but even then, the dish was done in 25 minutes.
