Sovay from Northern England,
Beef-and-sausage-burger, basically - simple but substantial; a bit too substantial, in fact, probably because my sausage was a particularly large one from my local butcher. I ended up making half the mixture into rissoles for a future occasion. I also made onion gravy which isn't part of the recipe.
I don't really use this book any longer as it's aimed primarily at people trying to cook in a bedsitter, with very limited equipment and a single gas ring (though it would probably still be handy for campers). It was my mainstay as a student, way back in the mists of time before students had cookbooks written specially for them, and stays on my shelf out of nostalgia.
