I used this recipe as a starting point for my final dish. Instead of green onions I used one medium onion in a medium dice and sweated it for a long while in the butter/oil. I then added the prosciutto and let it crisp w/ the onions. Finally, I added the beans (since I didn't have enough fava I mixed in edamame).
For the final serving I used fresh fettuccine (wrong shape, but it's what I had on hand) tossed with pecorino and fresh mint.
My only problem with the recipe were the directions for shelling the favas. The were unclear so I sought out directions online.
