This is the first recipe I've made from my copy of Vegetable Literacy that I got awhile back with part of my Amazon Gift Card I received from My Points. It's called Comforting Tomatoes in Cream with Bread Crumbs and Smoked Salt. Unfortunately I didn't have smoked salt so I used pink salt instead. The recipe is for one but I made two of them for my son and I since hubby didn't want to try it. It turned out delicious. I toasted both sour dough bread slices to go in the bottom of the bowl and crumbs for the top. The recipe said you could do it either way. Both my son and I loved this one.

This is one of those cookbooks that I've always wanted. Glad the recipe turned out well.

Queezle Sister, I'm hoping to get into this book more now that we're getting some great veggies from the Farmers Market.
