I recently served this to an oatmeal-loving friend who said, "This is the best oatmeal I've ever had!" I agree completely. This has been a family staple for years.
I do make some modifications to the recipe, though.
1-From the recipe's options, I use half milk and half water -- and usually use soymilk instead of dairy milk.
2-I use half the amount of raisins and apples.
3-I omit the sunflower seeds entirely.
4-I add a tablespoon of brown sugar and a half teaspoon or so cinnamon.
Hmmm...it's not really the same recipe anymore, but it was my starting point and it's super. If you love oatmeal, this one's for you!
