Scalloped corn was a frequent Thanksgiving and fall dish when I was growing up but I never mastered it to my satisfaction so when I ran across this, I decided to branch out and try Susan Branch's recipe. It is a delightful and delicious side and serves well when warmed in the microwave for breakfast or brunch eating the following day or two. It also satisfies a recent acquired taste for combined sweet and savory flavors within a dish. My last additon to it was some mild onion sauteed and thrown into the mix -- very yummy.
