This really is a very tasty oatmeal cookie, with the special addition of pecans toasted in brown butter. It's simple to make and they do come out chewy with crispy edges. The author formulated this recipe for large cookies (I made mine about 60 grams). I thought the size was fine - eat one instead of two, but I could see how if you are cooking these for a crowd you might want to scale them down a bit - which is totally doable, just know a few minutes off the bake time.
