This is a very rich, tasty ice cream. I used a fresh goat cheese that had been "dusted" with lavender. Everyone loved the flavor -many described it as "cheesecake-like", which is never a bad thing. I detected a very slight graininess, however it was not so bad as to keep me from serving it to guest (who loved it). Did not make the roasted red cherries though I am sure it would be a delicious offset to the tangy goat cheese. I also made the wonderful Sweet Corn Ice Cream from this book which is my favorite but was no where near as popular as the goat cheese flavor.
