A flavor explosion that is satisfying, quick to prepare, and healthy. I'd give this a "6" if I could.
Sliced yams are sprinkled with Aleppo pepper and smoked paprika (and olive oil), and roasted. At the same time, radicchio (we substituted green cabbage) and shallots are also roasted. A mere 15 minutes later, these items are removed from the oven and allowed to cool off.
A simple spread of tahini, mayo, and lemon juice is prepared, and the sandwich is assembled - with a layer of sprouts.
The carnivores loved this - smoked paprika made them think it had meat - and the vegetarians loved it, too. I immediately roasted more yams so I could count on leftovers.
Start to finish this takes only 35 minutes, with 25 of those minutes being hands off.
